Nickel Niobium
The nickel-niobium or nickel-columbium is used in the production of special steels, stainless steels and superalloys for solid solution strengthening, precipitation hardening, deoxidation, desulphurization and many other processes.
The NiNb 65% master alloy is mainly used in the production of special nickel steels and nickel-based super alloys. Nb enhances the mechanical properties, creep resistance and weldability of steels and super alloys.
The melting point of niobium and base metal varies considerably and hence it is difficult to add pure niobium to the bath. In contrast, NiNb dissolves very easily as its melting temperature is similar to or lower than the standard operating temperature.
This master alloy is also being utilized for adding niobium to copper-nickel alloys to enhance the mechanical properties in cryogenic applications. NiNb is used for improving the mechanical properties of nickel-based steels, CuNi alloys and super alloys.
Some of the Nickel Niobium’s applications are found in super alloy industry, stainless steel, special steel

Nickel Magnesium Alloys are master alloys of Magnesium with Nickel. They facilitate small additions of Magnesium to Iron, which transforms graphite flakes to spheroids.
Know MoreNickel Calcium 6% is useful for final deoxidation, sulfide inclusion shape control, and desulfurization. Its addition improves the melt fluidity and enhances the machinability.
