Ferro Chrome
FeCr is a corrosion-resistant alloy of Iron and Chromium. This alloy finds major applications in Stainless Steel and Tool Steel.
The percentage of carbon is integral in determining the price differential between the various FeCr grades. Broadly, there are two grades: High Carbon Ferro Chrome (HCFC) and Low Carbon Ferrochrome (LCFC). LCFC is added to steel when the Chromium percentage needs to be adjusted without affecting the Carbon level. HCFC is primarily used in production of stainless steel.
Some of the applications of Ferro chrome are majorly found in the production of alloy, stainless steel, casting.
